School Life

Co-Curricular

Life at LIS goes beyond being academically strong. It focuses on a child’s overall development by exposing students to a range of experiences through travel, music, art, theatre, sports, speech and debate, and a range of social clubs that cover a broad spectrum of interests.

Research has shown that integrating the arts throughout the curriculum enhances learning. Presenting an art project to an audience and experiencing stage time through drama, song, and dance gives students a medium for self-expression and boosts their confidence. Both fine and performing arts are interwoven throughout our curriculum, providing excellent options for students of many interests.

Our students are always engaged and fully immersed in this creative field of learning, whether online or offline. At Lancers, we take our students on educational field trips, give them access to join school clubs of their choice, participate in inter-school competitions and take part in specialized music programs. Speaking of music, our students also study the theoretical aspect of music and as high-school students, get to form their own band and play an instrument that they’ve mastered over the years at Lancers.

Inter-House Events:

Inter-house events are a significant part of the co-curricular activities in Lancers International School. These events allow students to showcase their talents, develop teamwork and leadership skills, and foster a sense of healthy competition among the students.

Inter-house events are a great platform for students to interact with peers and build social skills. They learn to communicate, cooperate, and work with others from different backgrounds while inculcating international mindedness, one of the strong pillars of the International Baccalaureate program.

Inter-house events provide a platform for students to showcase their talents in various fields, including arts, music, dance, designing, public speaking and more. It helps students to explore their interests and develop their skills further.

LIS Fest:

LIS Fest is an annual event held at Lancers International School for students in grades PYP to MYP. The fest is a celebration of learning and creativity, where students are encouraged to showcase their talents and abilities through various activities.

The fest offers a diverse range of activities, including news reporting, storytelling, drama, a science symposium, a western choir, and mini MUN. Students are given the opportunity to participate in activities that align with their interests and passions, allowing them to explore and develop their skills.

The event is a testament to the school’s commitment to providing a holistic and well-rounded education to its students.
