IBDP Curriculum

IBDP Curriculum

IB Diploma Program is by far the best qualification available globally for challenge seeking students, aged 16 to 19 years. IB qualifications are best suited for an overall development of students. The IBO offers two options for students to either choose to study for IB Diploma or the IBDP Course.

While most of the students at LIS choose the option of IB Diploma, there are always a few who opt for IBDP Course (Certificate).

IB Diploma Students have to complete the requirements, as follows, for the successful award of IB Diploma:

    1. Study 6 subjects, while taking at least one subject from each subject group.
    2. Complete the requirements of the 3 Core components (Extended Essay, Theory of Knowledge and CAS program)
    3. Apart from the above, there are other requirements for the successful award of IB Diploma. read more in the Article 13 of General Regulations – IB Diploma

IBDP Course students have the option of not doing the Core while they also have freedom to choose less than 6 subject. It should be noted that the students who aim to study in India after the completion of IBDP Course qualification, must study 6 subjects (3-HL and 3-SL). This is required as per the AIU-IB agreement.
