Establishing the first stepping stone into the field of education, Century Tagore School envisioned to develop quality educational standards in Delhi. First private school set up in the locality.
The school is established as a primary school. Pictures were taken on the 15th of August 1979 showing student's enthusiasm towards their heritage.
Our first batch of students received appreciation from community leaders for the growing standards of education in the school.
With our sincere commitment towards introducing quality education, the school soon gained popularity and within a few years the student population grew to 800.
A proposal to establish a Senior Secondary School was approved.
Establishment and foundation of Lancers Convent, a Senior Secondary School affiliated to CBSE. Lancers Convent was one of the first CBSE affiliated schools to start its operation in the 1980s.
The Annual Celebration of the year 1988 was graced by the Chief Minister of Delhi.
Lancers Convent won a prize in 'On the Spot Poetry Competition organized by Hindi Rashtriya Sangh.
With over 3,000 students and over 100 teachers, the school has proven its quality education. Lancers became one of the most desirable schools in the region.
The school's Eco Club received the Indira Award, a national award constituted by the Centre for Science and Environment, Delhi.
School received a State Level Citation from the Ministry of Education for the model paper organized by the National Foundation of Indian Engineers; certificate by the Indian Red Cross.
Two students at the school received internships at NASA. The school community supported affected families of the Kargil War.
Lancerians received 3 Gold Medals at the District Level Delhi Talent Search meet. Prize in the Radio Quiz, broadcasted by All India Radio (FM).
Spardhan Shree Award by the All India Cultural Society. Lancerians received 'Young Reporters' by TOI. Lancers Startup Prashant Vihar opened for the community.
Recognized and awarded by Sahitya Academy for outstanding performance in academics.
Lancerians set a National Record by winning Gold Medal in the shot put category. The school's basketball team won the state level championship.
To establish a world-class quality education and to further expand the growth of Lancers, Lancers International School (An IB World School) was founded.
Lancers received accreditation from Cambridge International Examination AS level /A level / IGCSE. Lancers offered the IB Diploma and the Primary Years Programmes to its school.
Paras Sharma of Lancer Convent topped all over India with 99% in the Commerce. Lancers Start Up, DLF 5 and Sohna Road branches started their first academic year.
Lancers students received 8 Gold Medals in the International Olympiads. 2 Gold Medals in boxing, District and State/National sub-urban levels received by Lancerians
Lancers began offering the IB MYP, making it one of the first schools offering the IB Continuum of International Education in North India. The school was listed as a UN Chapter School.
