Lancers supports usage of responsible social media amongst students

Rohit Mann, director, Lancers International School, said that social media usage can have both positive and negative influence. “It all depends on how a student interacts with the medium. Even the parents need to create social media literacy so that children can use the medium for their benefit. Instead of asking students to just get off social media, which they won’t, we must educate them how and what to use and what should be avoided,” he said.

Hosting ABRSM’s High Scorers’ Concert – Delhi NCR on 1st February,2020.

At Lancers we strive to ensure that our students are given opportunities to shine beyond the confines of the classroom. We believe that to nurture a passion is the only way to create genius. The recent collaboration with ABRSM is one such endeavour. The collaboration between Lancers International School and ABRSM opens a pathway for quality musical pedagogy which further allows students here at Lancers to learn so much more than what is in their textbooks. Our association with ABSRM is one more in a long line of non-scholastic activities that give the students the edge they need in the world today. We acknowledge the fact that a grade from ABRSM carries a worldwide recognition and that the exams are designed to motivate learners to develop their musical prowess. Our aspirations go beyond achieving certification. As a leader, I believe that creating and responding to music provides for developing life skills that one aspires to possess. The purpose is to enable all of our students to acquire abilities to create music that will inspire others, to go beyond the norms of traditional and lead a better and more expressive world. Students provided with opportunities to express themselves and be acknowledged globally is a legacy parents and schools should encourage. And what more means of expressing oneself can one ask for in creating music.

Christmas Celebrations at LANCERS

At Lancers International School, celebrating Christmas is joyous and an uplifting occasion. As the school is a happy place for children, Lancers organized a Carnival this year on 21 st of December, 2019 with the joint efforts of students, parents and teaching faculties. The preparation started two weeks prior to the Carnival event by decorating the Christmas tree with shiny balls and flashy lights, making Christmas art pieces/ wall hangings for the purpose of enhancing the school foyer. The carnival was a display of creative thinking, leadership skills and teamwork spirit. Through this event, parents and students connected with others and tiny tots got a chance to enjoy rides and other secret Santa games. There were various food stalls at the carnival having bakery items such as Christmas pudding and fruit cakes.Besides this, there were various book stalls at the carnival having good collection of fiction, non-fiction,mystery, humour, travel books and comics. With the “We Wish you a Merry Christmas” sung by middle school students, the event maintained the traditional Christian message of the joy of Christmas. Lancers School is a community school serving children from a range of faith backgrounds.
