Individual Mentoring Program

It is true that every individual has a different way of learning and thereby has different learning needs. LIS offers Individual Mentoring Support for each student. It is one of the fundamental beliefs that if the right guidance and mentoring is available, each individual can perform and achieve the personal best. School has a dedicated and very qualified staff that provides this mentoring support. Students are divided into groups of 5 and they are assigned a mentor, who is an experienced IB educator/ IB examiner.

Mentoring is given a dedicated slot of time and space. Mentors use a mentoring tracker document that has a dedicated checklist. This checklist ensures that all students receive standardised guidance and beyond that the mentors are free to add more value. Mentors are expected to connect with students at a very closer level and make sure that they understand the individual requirements, difficulties and that way provided customised support. Mentors also set challenging goals for their mentees and track the progress on a regular basis. They also eventually become the primary contacts for the parents.
